Nikanti Golf Club

Nikanti Golf Club is a distinctive 18-hole course located in Nakhon Pathom province, west of Bangkok. Designed by Thai golf course architect Piraporn Namatra of Golf East, Nikanti introduces several groundbreaking features.

Set amidst former rice paddies, Nikanti stands out from typical Bangkok courses. It spans a modest 6,850 yards from the black tees and features an innovative layout. Instead of the traditional front and back nine, Nikanti comprises three loops of six holes, each starting and ending at the main clubhouse. Every loop includes two par-3s, two par-4s, and two par-5s, offering a unique and varied playing experience.

This unusual distribution of holes provides numerous scoring opportunities, yet the course remains challenging for even professional golfers. The broad fairways have significant mounding and elevation changes, making flat lies rare. The greens are highly undulated, fast, and well-guarded by bunkers. Water hazards are prominent, especially on the par-5s.

Unlike many Bangkok courses criticized for their flatness, Nikanti features notable elevation changes and wind-affected valleys, emphasizing accuracy over distance. Despite the challenges, many holes offer the potential for under-par scores.
