The Canyon Course at Blue Canyon Country Club, originally an 18-hole layout, gained worldwide recognition as the esteemed venue for the 1994 Johnnie Walker Classic, a tournament later graced by Tiger Woods’ victory in 1998. Revered as a world championship golf destination, Blue Canyon consistently ranks among Thailand’s top courses.

Situated within a former tin mine, the course boasts remnants of its industrial past, including rust-colored streams, imposing canyons, and echoes of mining operations. The front nine meanders amidst palm-oil tree-lined fairways, while the back nine, particularly holes 11-15, offers a thrilling stretch considered one of the finest in Thailand, if not all of Asia.

Among the standout holes is the challenging Par 5 11th, with water hazards testing golfers’ skills on both the first and third shots. The famous Par 4 13th beckons daredevils with its canyon crossing, while the picturesque Par 3 14th presents a beautiful yet daunting tee shot over water to an island green.

The 17th, another formidable Par 3, demands precision, with its green partially hidden behind a canyon on the right, challenging even the most seasoned players.

Blue Canyon’s clubhouse boasts three restaurants, a well-stocked pro shop, and spa facilities. While the facility reflects its 90s glory, some areas may benefit from rejuvenation. Despite this, the Canyon Course continues to enchant golfers with its rich history and challenging layout. Many visitors choose to lodge near leading centers or the resorts of nearby Mai Khao Beach, foregoing the onsite accommodation.
